This site has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1974 and is the only Arkansas antebellum plantation home on the Mississippi River. It was built in 1859 it has been restored and house a museum. Regular tours are available.
The Museum of Chicot County is located in a turn-of-the-century medical infirmary building, which at the time was known as the 'Mayo of the South.' As such, the museum's main focus is on rural medicine and has exhibits of early antique hospital equipment, but also features exhibits on WWII, the history of Italian immigration to Chicot County and Charles Lindberg's first night flight.
